Have you ever wanted to see displacement maps in the viewport? Well I’ve figured out a way in Cinema 4D!

1. Create your shader and apply it to an object like you normally would.

2. In the shader select Basic tab and check Displacement.

3. Create the desired texture using a texture map or Noise.

4. Go to dropdown Create > Deformer > Displacer

5. Apply the Displacer object to the object in your Object Panel

6. Finally, select the Displacer object and click on the Object tab and check Emulation.

That’s it!
